
*Click More for lyrics etc* This poem is set to a great song by Enigma called Smell of Desire. I chose it because this is lyrics rich and the song is mostly instrumental so you can enjoy. This is a different kind of poem than I usually write, its a bit looser in context but still touches the richness of matters of the heart so often we find. Some be they small, others surmounting, adding as grains of sand through a glass, ever rising. If only they all could be cast aside, so that with each other we could be, then perhaps filled enough to survive a while longer. Oh but you carry me with you, anywhere life takes you, look down at your chest and a little to the left, and youll find me. Daily trials, superiors racing us through our tasks, our own bodys cry for nourishment, and for rest. Family memoirs, a sweet holiday to share, or a friends celebration to cheer along to. The phone calls from well meaning ones, the long hours in commute to arrive to our next destination, the requests to visit just a little longer prevail often. The one time birth, that coveted graduation, or anticipated wedding, and the sunset shared between an aging parent and grown child that may never …
