Event on 2012-06-05 19:00:00
*Economic downturn
*Job loss
*Divorce
*Life threatening disease
*Bankruptcy
*Depression
THESE ARE ALL OPPORTUNITIES.
International musician, writer, and lifestyle enhancement expert- "Pistol" Pete Kaufmann, will be discussing tips and techniques on how to change negative events and experiences and turn them into positive, life-enhancing opportunities.
No stranger to set-backs, Kaufmann has dealt with adversity on many levels. A few years back during the economic downturn, his wife, Wendy, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer which had spread to her lymph nodes.
"It was the most challenging period in our lives. We had tons of medical bills that kept piling up. Wendy couldn't work and I had just started a new business that was bringing in sporadic income. I remember looking at Wendy while she lay in bed, sick from the chemo and radiation, and thinking 'How are we gonna get outta this one? My wife's life was on the line, we had NO money, and were about to lose our home. The situation was DIRE."
"I refused to give up or let it affect my (our) attitude. I knew it was a test and I was going to pass and learn one of the greatest lessons of my life. And I did. I practiced what I called 'flipping the script' on our situation. As a result, I came up with creative solutions and ideas to get through that challenging year."
"The crazy thing," Kaufmann states, "is that I became a new person when it was all over. "I wouldn't be who I am now, or we wouldn't be where we are as a result of that 'adversity.' Our hardship was basically a stepping-stone to all other opportunities. It taught us a lot about ourselves and what we were capable of achieving with the right mindset."
Kaufmann will be teaching his methods (and sometimes humorous techniques) on how to "flip the script" on ANY situation in life. Attendees will even have a chance to practice "flipping" challenges during the workshop for a more hands-on approach.

2) PRACTICE what they've learned on a daily basis.
